Donate to the Ukraine disaster emergency fund

At least two million people have fled their homes to escape the Ukraine and it is expected that 18 million people will be impacted by the conflict. The UN estimates up to four million people may be forced leave the country and seven million may lose their homes inside the Ukraine. Most of the refugees are women and children.

How you can help:

The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) charities and their local partners are working in the Ukraine and neighbouring countries providing food, water, shelter and medical assistance and they need your support.

Local drop-off centres have been inundated with physical donations and supplies and now are requesting that monetary donations are made to the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) emergency appeal.

What is the DEC?

The DEC brings together 15 leading aid charities to raise funds quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas. In this conflict people are in life-and-death situations and need help. Their mission is to save, protect and rebuild lives through an effective humanitarian response.

Pooling their resources to work as one, they are pivotal in co-ordinating the UK public’s response to overseas disasters. In collaboration with the Rapid Response Network of national media and corporate partners, the DEC raise the alarm to the UK public and set up easy ways for them to donate.

They can make immediate impact, getting aid to the people who need it, fast.
