Maxis has committed to achieving net zero carbon across the park by 2050, aligned with the Paris Agreement to limit warming by 1.5 degrees. Here’s what we’ve already done to reduce our impact across the park:

- Installation of energy efficient lighting.
- 100% renewable electricity procured through the grid for managed areas.

Biodiversity
Maxis benefits from its nearby natural environment and preservation of green space and nature within the parks. A three-year plan is in place to improve flora and fauna diversity, prioritising the plantings of native species and protecting existing wildlife such as hedgehogs and bats.

Benchmarking our performance
Frasers Property UK, owners of Maxis, have achieved 4 out of 5 stars in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark, placing the organisation first of its peers for environmental, social and governance performance. Maxis 1 and 2 are both rated BREEAM ‘Excellent’ representing best practice for sustainability performance. BREEAM, the most widely adopted green building certification, prioritizes sustainable design such as access to natural light, sustainable materials, energy and water efficient appliances and end of trip cycle facilities.
