Maxis Business Park is proud to support greener, healthier ways to travel as part of the Bracknell BID Shared Cycle Scheme, available free of charge to everyone working within the BID’s Western and Southern Business Areas.
The shared eBike and standard bike scheme provides a simple, flexible alternative to driving, with bikes available to rent and return at hubs across the business areas, Bracknell town centre and the train station. Whether it’s a quick commute, travelling between meetings or heading out for lunch, the scheme makes short everyday journeys easier and more sustainable.
Making a measurable difference
The impact of the scheme is already clear:
- 1,237km travelled in 2025 using shared eBikes and standard bikes
- 1.4km average trip length, ideal for short, everyday journeys
- Regularly used for commuting, lunchtime trips and travel between offices
- 335kg of CO₂ would have been produced if these journeys were made by car
- Just 26kg of CO₂ generated by eBike travel over the same distance
- 309kg of carbon emissions saved in one year through active travel
That’s a meaningful reduction in emissions, congestion and air pollution, demonstrating how small changes in travel behaviour can deliver real environmental benefits.
By encouraging active travel and supporting initiatives like the Bracknell BID Shared Cycle Scheme, Maxis Business Park continues to champion sustainability, workplace wellbeing and low-carbon travel for its business community.
